Emne: Re: 64 bit motif install
Hi,
At the moment we have built one installation running on 64 bit ubuntu 10.04, but with openmotif 2.2.3-4
Any attempts building with openmotif 2.1.31-IST has failed, both on 10.04 and 12.04.
Is it possible for you to try this out? When you compiled the 2.0.15 version, which actually worked, was that on a native 64 ubuntu 12.04 installation? And was there any special build options or sorce code modifications?
I also would like to know what are your plans conserning development of ECFlow. Do you expect frequent updates, like several times each year? In that case is it possible for you to provide ubuntu (debian) packages for future relaeses?
BTW, I will attend the CompRep meeting 22. - 24. of May, so maybe I see you then.
Best regards
Knut

Good Afternoon Knut,
using rpm+cpio you shall have no problem to extract the rpm file from IST,
with a command similar to:
rpm2cpio myrpmfile.rpm | cpio -idmv
then in the ecflow sources, edit the file view/Jamfile.jam to provide
you local extraction path (/tmp/map/work/p4/sms/main/usr/OpenMotif-2.1.32/
in that example below) for the two key lines <include> and <linkflags>:
<include>/tmp/map/work/p4/sms/main/usr/OpenMotif-2.1.32/include
[...]
<linkflags>"-L/tmp/map/work/p4/sms/main/usr/OpenMotif-2.1.32/lib [...]"
with kind regards,
Axel
